Who We Are
Healthy Beginnings Magazine (HBmag) is an independent health publication focused on supplement research, natural wellness, and evidence-based health information. We have been publishing health content online since 2011.
Our editorial work covers seven core health niches: weight loss, brain health, joint pain, prostate health, hearing health, neuropathy, and skin care. These are the areas where we invest the most research time and maintain the deepest content expertise.
We are not a medical practice. Nothing published on HBmag constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. All content is intended for informational and educational purposes only. Readers with health concerns should consult a qualified healthcare provider.
Who Reviews Our Content
Our content team includes health writers, wellness researchers, and independent supplement reviewers with experience across our seven core niches. Team members responsible for supplement reviews have working knowledge of ingredient science, clinical nutrition literature, and regulatory labeling standards.
For articles covering medical topics — including neuropathy, prostate health, hearing loss, and cognitive decline — content is cross-checked against clinical guidelines and peer-reviewed literature before publication. We do not publish health claims that cannot be traced to a verifiable source.
We are transparent about our team’s background: we are researchers and writers, not licensed physicians. Where clinical nuance matters, we make that clear in the article and direct readers to appropriate professional resources.
How We Verify Information
Every article published on HBmag undergoes a structured review process before going live. Our fact-checking is not a one-click tool — it is a manual review against primary and secondary sources.
Our verification process includes:
- Identifying every factual health claim in the article
- Tracing each claim to a primary source — PubMed studies, NIH guidance, FDA communications, peer-reviewed journals, or established clinical references
- Flagging claims that are unsupported, exaggerated, or only backed by brand marketing
- Rewriting or removing content that cannot be verified to a reasonable standard
- Reviewing ingredient disclosures and product labels for accuracy
- Checking consistency with established consensus in health and nutrition science
We cite our sources. Health claims in HBmag articles link directly to PubMed, NIH databases, or other verifiable clinical sources so readers can check our work independently.
How We Review Supplements and Health Products
Supplement reviews are the core of what HBmag publishes. Our review framework is consistent across all products and designed to give readers an honest assessment — not a sales pitch.
We evaluate products across these dimensions:
- Ingredient transparency — Is the full formula disclosed? Are dosages listed?
- Evidence quality — Are the key ingredients supported by published research, or are the benefits extrapolated from unrelated studies?
- Claimed vs. realistic outcomes — We assess whether a product’s marketing claims are consistent with what the ingredient evidence actually supports
- Safety profile — Known interactions, contraindications, and reported tolerability issues from clinical and consumer sources
- Pricing and value — Cost per serving benchmarked against comparable products in the same category
- Refund and support policies — Whether the company stands behind its product with a reasonable return window
We do not assign single-number scores designed to drive purchases. We do not rate products we have not researched. We do not publish reviews on behalf of brands or manufacturers.
Editorial Independence
HBmag operates independently from supplement manufacturers, affiliate networks, and advertising partners. Compensation does not determine whether a product is reviewed, how it is evaluated, or what conclusions we reach.
On affiliate links: Some articles contain affiliate links. When a reader clicks a link and makes a purchase, HBmag may earn a commission at no extra cost to the reader. This arrangement does not influence our editorial conclusions. Products we evaluate negatively may still carry affiliate links — we do not remove negative content to protect commercial relationships.
What we do not do:
- Accept payment to publish positive reviews
- Suppress negative findings for any product
- Allow brand representatives to edit or approve articles before publication
- Inflate ratings to increase click-through or conversion

Corrections and Updates Policy
We take accuracy seriously. When factual errors are identified — by our team, by readers, or through updated research — we correct them promptly.
Our corrections process:
- Minor factual errors (dates, figures, product details) are corrected and the article is updated without a correction notice unless the error materially affected the conclusion
- Significant errors that affected the meaning or conclusions of an article are corrected with a visible correction note at the top or bottom of the article, including the date of the update
- Articles covering products that have been discontinued, reformulated, or subject to regulatory action are updated or marked accordingly
Readers can report factual errors or request corrections through our contact page. We review all correction requests and respond where action is taken.
Content freshness: Supplement reviews are periodically re-evaluated when new research becomes available, when a product changes its formula, or when significant user feedback warrants re-examination. Updated articles carry a revised date at the top of the page.
