Healthy Beginnings

Your skin is the largest organ of your body

It is your first line of defense against the pollutants and free radicals we encounter on a daily basis. It is vital to your health to maintain the strength and integrity of your armor!

It is as important for you to nourish your skin from the inside out as the outside in. Eating a healthy, well balanced diet rich in nutrients and anti-oxidants will be beneficial. Consume plenty of fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, fish and poultry. Take a high quality multi-vitamin, minerals and anti-oxidant supplement.

Drink enough water daily to keep your skin well hydrated. When the skin is dry, it is more susceptible to cracks and open areas and these are portals for germs to enter. Just how much water should we drink in a day? Rule of thumb is take your weight divide it in half and that figure is how many ounces of water you should drink every day. For instance ifyou way 125 lbs. than you should drink 63 ounces or 8 eight ounce glasses of water each day.

Next, establish a healthy skin care regimen twice a day to cleanse away the constant insults your skin endures. Use a mild exfoliant one to two times a week. Use high quality skin care products to enhance the natural beauty of your skin.

Take care of your “armor” and wear it well! When you look good you feel your best and you’ll “face” the day with confidence.
