Whenever you have a “down” day and are wondering what there is to celebrate, look no further. Celebrate yourself! Celebrate being healthy, or becoming healthy again. Because you will when you indulge in raw organic greens every day! The best way to take lots of greens on a daily basis without being bored is by making juices with a touch of wildlife! Wild edibles are nature’s best medicine. Combined with other greens and fruits, they create a true daily life elixir. Make it a fanciful experience by drinking your juices in your best glasses. Spoil yourself; you deserve it. Every juice you drink is a reason to celebrate, and so are you! To your health: Cheers!
TOOLS YOU NEED
A slow juicer
*If you don’t have one, blend the greens with a little bit of water and strain it through a sieve or nut milk bag
Bunch of stinging nettles (they have a soft spinach-like taste so you can use as many as you like)
1 dandelion plant (leaves and root)
A whole bunch of wild cereal grasses (pick a bag of wide blade grasses)
2 to 3 narrow blade plantain plants or 1 wide blade plantain 2 hands full of chickweed (soft taste) A hand full of clover 4 stalks of white celery
1 cucumber 2 apples (add more if you want it a bit sweeter) About a one inch piece of ginger (to taste) 1 fennel (juice their stalks with greens as well) 1/2 head of broccoli 1 lemon with peel (only if it is organic!)
Other greens from the actual season, such as collard greens, a few kale leaves, etc.
1. Start with juicing the grasses, the stinging nettles, and then throw the pulp on your compost.
2. Juice all the other ingredients (you can use this pulp for crackers)
3. Serve in your best glasses
