Cancers Only Eat Sugar

One Hundred Years of Cancer Research History in a Nutshell

Otto Warburg, MD, PhD, and German genius, discovered that cancer cells were anaerobic fermenters in 1922, and won the Nobel Prize for his work in 1931. Anaerobic means without oxygen, and fermentation is a primitive way of making energy, which is very inefficient and only uses glucose. Healthy human cells depend on oxidative metabolism, which uses oxygen and is very efficient. ATP runs all of the metabolic functions in our body. Every day we make one-tenth of our body weight in ATP, adenosine triphosphate.

Mitochondria, our cells energy furnace, make 36 ATPs per molecule of glucose, and cancer cells only make four ATPs per molecule of glucose. This gives us a head start on containing cancer cells. Genetic mutations of DNA in the cell’s nucleus become cancerous only after the mitochondria become compromised and the cells energy and ATP decline. This relationship to energy metabolism and cancer has been revived in recent years by Professor Thomas Seyfried, PhD, at Boston College. He has a brilliant YouTube presentation highlighting mitochondrial damage preceding cancer. His major therapeutic focus is to treat cancer with a ketogenic diet, high in fat and very low in carbohydrates with periodic, gentle fasting. The brain and body have evolved to utilize ketones from fat metabolism, which starves cancer cells. Travis Christofferson’s book, Tripping Over the Truth, gives a thorough review of the history and treatment of cancer.

Be Nice to Your Mitochondria

Mitochondrial respiration depends on oxygen. Getting oxygen into the cells depends on healthy cell membranes, which are made of good fats. Damaged oils, fatty acids, inhibit oxygen transport into the cells. Commercial oils have been damaged by high heat, solvents and herbicides. One hundred years ago, 3 percent of Americans died from cancer, and now the number is over 40 percent. More than 1,600 Americans die daily from cancer. What happened? All commercial GMO soybean oil and canola oil have been highly processed and contain 14-16 times more glyphosate (Round Up) than organic oils. We recommend, yes, fatty acids, which contain primrose oil, flaxseed oil, safflower oil, coconut oil and pumpkin seed oil to rebuild cell membranes.

Mitochondria process lots of oxygen and in its many reactions throw off damaging free radical oxygen, which needs to be neutralized by antioxidants. The list of nutrients that benefit mitochondria is long, and some of the principle nutrients include vitamin C, thyroid hormone, magnesium, manganese, zinc, chromium, boron, vitamin E and all of the B vitamins. Anti-inflammatory herbs and foods help the mitochondria.

Sugar and excessive carbohydrates not only cause diabetes, obesity and heart disease, but also feed cancer. Soda contains high fructose corn syrup sweetener. All commercial corn is GMO (high in Round Up), which has been labeled as a probable carcinogen in the State of California.

We Live in a Sea of Carcinogens

Eat and use organically labeled products as much as possible. Avoid pharmaceutical drugs if you can regain your health with less harmful therapies. Try to keep your cell phone away from your body when not using it. EMFs, electromagnetic fields, are bombarding us from cell phone towers, smart meters, Wi-Fi, computers, cordless phones and airports. Chemicals in our environment including the following: cosmetics, fire retardants, plastics, hydrocarbons, PCBs, dioxins, tap water, chlorine, fluorine, bromine, aluminum, Teflon, mercury, arsenic, uranium, lead, cadmium, pesticides and herbicides all build up and are additive cancer causing agents.

Don’t forget that silver dental fillings are composed of 50 percent or more of mercury, which outgasses into the saliva and breath every time one drinks hot liquids or eats hot foods. They are particularly harmful if the mercury filling is next to a gold restoration – they make electrical currents, which increase the mercury release. Root canaled teeth and periodontal infections harbor bacteria that have been tied to cancer in distant organs. Remember the corpse in the attic. In German biological dentistry there are eight teeth connected to the breasts, for example.

It is wise to become knowledgeable with our environmental onslaught of cancer causers, and avoid or neutralize as many as possible.
