About Dr. Clark

Dr. Tory Clark is a graduate from the University of Nevada, Reno where she received her Masters in Public Health. Tory continued her education at The Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality in San Francisco where she received her Doctor of Human Sexuality degree. Additionally, she completed the Associate in Sex Education and Clinical Sexology Certificate Programs and is a clinical member of American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists. Her training includes courses in counseling skills, resolving sexual concerns, sex education, clinical sexology and erotology.

Tory is an instructor at the University of Nevada, Reno, where she teaches Advanced Human Sexuality at the undergraduate and graduate levels. In addition, she is on the board for developing a LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender) community center for the City of Reno.

As the founder of Sex in the Biggest Little City, LLC, Tory believes that comprehensive sex education is imperative for all people in society: adults, teenagers, as well as children. Tory’s practice revolves around a sex-positive and open-minded approach in helping her clients with any issue or concern they may have related to their sexuality. Regardless of a person’s sexual orientation and sexual interests, all people from the sexual spectrum are welcome for a consultation.

“I admit that I entered this class with an immature and naive mindset about sex and sexuality in general; however Tory quickly popped any social bubble I may have had. Her class taught us the importance of sex both in and outside of a relationship, the importance of accepting all sexualities, as well as how to identify and diagnose many common sexually transmitted infections. I either learned something new every class, or learned to see things in a different way than I would have ever thought possible. This class has allowed me to be more open in my relationships with my girlfriend, family, and even friends. By being properly educated on these “sensitive subjects” I am able to convey my ideas in a clearer fashion, which in turn allows others to feel secure enough to talk openly about them. Even though this class was outside of my degree, it was one of my favorite higher educational courses. This was an invaluable class that should have a higher recommendation from advisors in other degrees.”
