Rice-Cooker Jambalaya

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 c. uncooked rice
  • 1 lb. raw shrimp
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 1 lg. onion
  • 1 c. bell pepper
  • 3 ribs celery
  • 2 tsp. Cajun Seasoning
  • 2 cans beef broth
  • 2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1-2 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp. Accent

How to Prepare:

  1. Chop the onion, bell pepper and celery ribs into desired size.
  2. Combine all ingredients in the rice cooker and cook on regular cycle.

Non-Rice Cooker Preparation:

  1. Chop the onion, bell pepper and celery ribs into the desired size.
  2. Cook onion, bell pepper and celery in ½ stick of butter until softened
  3. Add rice, broth, Cajun seasoning, black pepper, chili powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper and accent.
  4. Cook according to directions on rice package.
  5. Cook shrimp on the side in remaining butter and add to finished rice mixture.
