Many people have been forced to give up their pets due to the slowing economy.  The Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe wants to help ensure people can keep their animals and that all pets are healthy and well fed. THANKSGIVING DAY DINNER AND WINTER COAT GIVEAWAY

Every Thanksgiving Day, the Reno-Sparks Gospel Mission serves a traditional Thanksgiving dinner downtown and at several senior citizen centers to as many as 1,200 needy men, women and children. We also have several thousand winter coats and supplies on hand to give away to all in need. There are limited opportunities for this event, but we need servers and general use volunteers. CHRISTMAS DAY DINNERS
The Reno-Sparks Gospel Mission’s largest event of the year our annual Christmas Day meal and present giveaway, held at our downtown Mission and at several local senior citizen centers. The Mission appreciate your donations of new socks, gloves, mittens, scarves, knit caps or other warm clothing, plus appropriate toys for the children (all ages needed).
