INGREDIENTS:
2 Cups Whole Milk
2/3 Heavy Cream
10 oz Semisweet Chocolate, chopped
1/2 Cup Hazelnut Syrup or Liqueur
2 Cups Homemake Whipped Cream
1 Cinnamon Stick
HOW TO PREPARE:
Simmer the milk, cream and sugar together until just boiling. Stir in the chocolate until melted. Don’t let it boil. Serve warm in demitasse cups.
HAZELNUT WHIPPED CREAM
2 Cups Heavy Cream
1/2 Teaspoon Hazelnut Syrup
1/4 Cup Powdered Sugar
HOW TO PREPARE:
Whip the mixture with an electric hand mixer until raised soft peaks form. Add the hazelnut syrup and the powdered sugar and continue to mix until stiff peaks form and it hold it shape. It should take about four minutes (or much longer if using a manual hand mixer or whisk).
Serve whipped cream over your hazelnut hot chocolate. Use grater and sprinkle cinnamon on top and enjoy!
