“We don’t stop exercising because we grow old; we grow old because we stop exercising.” There were never truer words spoken. In the realm of anti-aging, exercise and a healthy diet are key components.
By choosing to participate in physical fitness and regular exercise, you can choose to positively impact how you age. By leading an active lifestyle, you are working toward important factors in functional ability with increased muscular endurance, flexibility and balance.
Living an inactive or sedentary lifestyle can have many negative side effects including increased fatigue, sleep disturbances, difficulty with everyday tasks and decreased self-esteem. Often, negative effects associated with living an inactive lifestyle are confused with getting older.
The UFC GYM offers many exercise platforms to keep daily exercising fun, exciting, motivational and invigorating in a friendly community, results-driven environment. You can work to reach your optimum fitness level through functional fitness, boxing, kickboxing, Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, TRX, weights and cardio. One of the many exercise classes offered at UFC GYM includes the Daily Ultimate Training class or “functional fitness.” This program emulates common movements you would use throughout the day at home, at work or in sports. Functional fitness trains and prepares your muscles for daily tasks such as carrying groceries or playing with your kids, making it easier and safer to perform those daily tasks to maintain or improve your quality of life.
Participating in a regular exercise program can bring benefits that affect our everyday activities. These include improved cardiovascular endurance, muscular endurance, flexibility and balance. These are important factors in functional ability. Remember, the most important point: It is never too late to start exercising!
